In the digitalizing world, the rules of marketing are also changing. Marketing 4.0 is defined as an approach that is more inclusive, managed in a horizontal direction and puts communities at the forefront, not the individual. While defining Marketing 4.0, Philip Kotler draws attention to the importance of communities in the digitalizing world at the beginning of the book.
To put it in a few words, while the poor are excluded from the market in marketing 3.0, they are included in this market in marketing 4.0, and as a result of social media, all citizens of the world with internet are the target audience of marketing 4.0 in an inclusive way.
The world of cryptocurrencies stands out as the embodiment of the digitalized world. So much so that community and social media management, which are the two most prominent elements in this digital marketing world, are the building blocks of crypto marketing. While Marketing 4.0 emphasizes that people no longer define themselves as individuals but as a community, the cryptocurrency world has been advancing with the management of niche communities from the very beginning.
People in these communities may be from different disciplines. The fact that I have personally observed in the cryptocurrency world shows that communities are digital channels where digital and social scientists coexist.
Good community management is the result of good marketing and behavioral finance knowledge. In this case, cryptocurrency projects recruit individuals who are able to do interdisciplinary work and can also work multitasking to their marketing departments.
In this case, people who want to take part in the community management of the cryptocurrency world must develop themselves in the field of marketing and behavioral finance. While this study can be practiced by taking an active role in a few communities or as an observer, good observations can be developed as a result of scientific studies.
As a result, while many traditional companies are struggling to make the transition in the marketing 4.0 of the digitalized world, the cryptocurrency world directly fulfills the principles of digital and marketing 4.0. In this case, we can say that the employees of the cryptocurrency industry are one step ahead of those in traditional industries in terms of marketing, as in many other issues.
